Welcome to StuHub. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, store, and protect your information when you use the StuHub mobile application.
1. Information We Collect

- Password (stored securely in hashed form)
2. Information Stored on Your Device
To support offline functionality, StuHub stores the following locally:
- Username
- Email Address
- Profile Photo (if selected)
- Academic Session
- Subjects
- Timetable
- Attendance Records
- Attendance Analytics
- App Preferences
3. Cloud Backup
Cloud backup is completely optional and only occurs when you manually tap the Backup button.
The following data may be backed up:
- Username
- Email Address
- Academic Session
- Subjects
- Timetable
- Attendance Records
The following data is not uploaded:
- Profile Photo
- Local App Preferences
4. Restore
When you choose Restore, only information previously backed up to the cloud is restored. Items stored only on your device, such as your profile photo, are not restored.
5. Password Reset Emails
StuHub uses Brevo solely to send password reset emails. Your email address is not used for advertising or marketing communications.

7. Third-Party Services
- AWS EC2 – Backend Hosting
- MongoDB Atlas – Cloud Database
- Brevo – Password Reset Email Delivery
8. Your Choices
- You may update your account information.
- You may log out at any time.
- Logging out removes locally stored application data from your device.
- Previously backed up cloud data remains associated with your account and can be restored after signing in again.
- You can choose whether or not to use Cloud Backup.
9. Children's Privacy
StuHub is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
10. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected by updating the Effective Date.
